Good Mornin'

Was looking through some pictures and stumbled upon this. I thought it was quite funny how the egg broke and decided to form. Since I am trying to post more often and get more into the habit of it, expect more pictures and random things.

Wilted Roses

About a month ago I got my mom roses for Mother's Day. From this place called Rosarium. All they have is roses. Really nice ones from Ecuador. I've been there before, but not recently as it is somewhat pricey. I was not home for a couple of days, and when I finally did reappear I noticed that they shrivelled up in a very interesting way. I think the ones I got were yellowish with a bit of orange on the inside, but when they died they became darker and still preserved their shape and aestheric nicely. Not to sound too emo, but I thought they were really beautiful. I still don't take as many pictures as I would like and have not really dedicated time to learn more about photography in general, but I hope to do so sooner rather than later. As I was heading out the door one day, I decided to take some quick shots before the roses got thrown out.

Beach Day

It's a bit hard to see, but there is a man standing on a surfboard like thing and rowing his way across. Amazing.
Sometime a couple of weeks ago, we ventured to the beach. There was some confusion regarding whether we were going to "the beach" or "the Beaches", which was unintentional. Sorry ahha. It was one of the first really nice days in Toronto and so many people were out. I truly love Toronto in the summer. Really wish we had a lake in the city we could actually swim in though. But can't have it all, now can we?

Webster's Falls

Sometime back in October, Kelly and I ventured out to Dundas, Ontario in an attempt to wander around a waterfall she had a shoot at. We got lost on the way, as usual, but found it eventually. It was quite a lovely sight :)

Museum of Natural History - Skeletons & Jewels

Continuing onwards, we headed to the Northwest Cost Indians exhibit and the Hall of Gems and Minerals.

Museum of Natural History - Mammals & Mosaics

After brunch we headed over to the American Museum of Natural History. I kinda wish we went there earlier or just had more time to spend there as it was quite amazing. The ROM does not compare. Ah well, just another reason to go back soon :)

The Last (and best) Brunch

The start to our last day in New York was great. We looked up a great brunch place on Yelp, and decided to go to Petite Abeille in Chelsea. Judging from the mascot on the window, I'm sure you can decipher the name is Little Bee in English. Really glad we did. It's now a chain of restaurants in New York that first opened in 1996 with the idea of serving traditional Belgian food in a comfortable atmosphere. I think they definitely succeeded. They now have four locations all over Manhattan, and have gotten rave reviews ranging from "Best Burger" to "Best Brunch".
